The Live Action Hunger Games is a full-scale, immersive experience that my college friends created to blow off steam before finals. I took that spark and transformed it into a way to bring strangers together and serve the community. I conceptualized and produced the event for a broader audience, turning the game into a high-stakes, nighttime competition where players navigate outdoor terrain, form alliances, and complete challenges guided by real-time messages from the Gamemakers. With just their phones, athleticism, and strategy, participants dive into an experience built on tension, surprise, and connection.

I lead every aspect of production, from creative direction and gameplay development to logistics, registration and waivers, scouting land, sponsorships, catering, and execution. Local and national businesses have supported the event with generous donations, sometimes awarding winning teams prizes worth over $1,200. Each installment benefits a local food shelf, and together we've raised more than 2,000 pounds of food.

What makes this event truly special is the way it brings people together. My favorite part has always been watching lifelong friendships and relationships form through the experience. From the reaping ceremony to post-game celebrations, I create environments where people feel immersed, seen, and part of something bigger. Many players have told me it was the most fun they have ever had in their entire life. I’m asked all the time when the next one is happening. The Live Action Hunger Games proves that when people are invited into a story and given a reason to show up, they leave with more than just memories. They leave with community.
