When Rachel asked me to plan her wedding, it felt like a dream. She shared a few colors she liked, said she wanted a romantic garden, and trusted me with the rest. Since Rachel and Tommy lived out of state and wouldn’t see the venue until their wedding day, I handled everything from sourcing the location to securing the hotel block and managing the full rehearsal dinner, including logistics, timelines and decor. Every detail of the wedding was built with intention to reflect their warmth, style, and love for each other.

The design was soft, seasonal, and deeply personal. I incorporated evergreens, mistletoe, and a generous amount of moss, which made the process even more meaningful since it’s not only one of Rachel’s favorite elements, but also my last name. From their custom monogram and table numbers, to the invitations, menus, and perfectly matched fonts, every visual detail worked together seamlessly. I’m a sucker for an interesting seating chart, and the record wall we created for this wedding quickly became one of my favorites. It turned into a fun photo moment and a detail guests are still talking about months later.

It was four degrees below zero, the coldest wedding I’ve ever produced, though you would never know it from the photos. Rachel took portraits outside without a coat, smiling through the cold. After the room flip, she walked in and cried (I’m pretty sure Tommy did too but good luck getting him to admit it). Being trusted to create this day from the ground up was an incredible honor, and watching it all come to life with such quiet beauty is something I will always carry with me.
